Recent News
So, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the information on this blog. We’ve read some books that people have loved, and some that we’ve disliked. I Am Malala is a recent favorite, and I’m sorry that the Pakistani fudge didn’t work out. Our next book will be the Orphan Train by Christina Kline, and we will meet in about two weeks to discuss it.
Copies of The Color of Water are now available!
Thanks, everyone, for coming to the Hunger Games discussion last night. I hope everyone enjoyed the banana bread! If you were unable to be there, copies of our next book, The Color of Water by James McBride, are available at the Park Reference Desk.
Copies of The Buddha in the Attic Now Available
Stop by and pick up a copy of The Buddha in the Attic for our March discussion!
Bookmarks are out!
We’ve selected titles for the next four months, and the bookmarks with summaries are available to pick up. As always, you can pick books up at the Park Reference Desk.
January 2014 Mennonite in a Little Black Dress
February 2014 Twelve Years a Slave
March 2014 The Buddha in the Attic
April 2014 True Grit
7/3/2013 The Great Gatsby (again!)
We’ve decided to reread the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald for July. Unfortunately, the new Baz Luhrmann movie is not in local theaters anymore, so no group outing. Copies may still be available at the Park side Reference Desk.
